My invitations went in the mail yesterday! Tomorrow is the engagement photo shoot, Thursday is the next dress fitting. I have to figure out how to handle a room block. The girls are figuring out the bridal shower, so far no real work for me (except trying to figure out a gift for the friend who is making it all happen). I updated the wedding website last night. I’m only having an Maid/Matron of Honor and I’ll start buying her gifts shortly (as soon as our house guest leaves Thursday). There is more on a list I refuse to look at right now but atleast there is a list to keep me on track 🙂

Invitations went out a little less than two weeks ago. Enjoying seeing the little RSVP envelopes in the mail. So far, all yes’s.
Freaking out on getting wedding dress in time. Bridal shop said it will be shipped September 18 and that will only give me a little over two weeks for alterations.
Still need to go over vows, finalize music and set up the rehearsal dinner.
Need to create place card holder names which is going to be a major chore (too long to explain).
Fiancé and I taking a trip to the venue next weekend to finalize everything with the wedding coordinator and to go to the recorder’s office for marriage license permit.
I’m sure there is a lot more, but I don’t want to think about anything that will cause more stress. lol

where are you guys going on your honeymoons?
I got a lot of anxiety last week. I was no longer looking forward to it, and felt like everything was going to be a disaster. I seem to be over that now (maybe that’s a 8 week thing. I feel like you are counting weeks rather than months. haha)
we’re anxiously awaiting rsvps
Lots of little decor details to do…
need a bustle on the dress
guys still haven’t had there tux fitting (haha, surprise surprise)
We’re goign to St. Lucia for our honeymoon. So excited!!

We’ve done a lot so far so I’m not doing much right now. I’m waiting for our DAMN RSVP’S TO COME IN ALREADY!! We have less than half and sent them out 8/1 with a 9/1 d-date because of the caterer.
I made 40 Thank You cards last night (cut, folded, stamped) and need to make the back sides of all of our table numbers. I also need to make all of our escort cards but those won’t come till September after RSVP’s are all in.
Rehearsal is set, need to plan decorations. Need to finalize favors, tablecloths, napkins, meet with officiant and final meeting with florist. Also need final fitting with dress.

@beesgf you are my date twin and honeymoon twin! Which resort are you staying in?
I’m a 10-16-10’er too! And I don’t know why but I am beyond stressed out this week! (I’m sure it has nothing to do with school! haha!)
Here’s what’s on my list:
– meet with the venue
– seating arrangements/table markers/table chart
– ceremony program
– complete info for DJ
– create “scripts” for grand enterance/MCs/trivia questions
– create day of itinerary so everyone knows where they are supposed to be
– get photo/guest book created
– send out readings for the service
– wrap attendant gifts
– centrepiece stuff
– next dress fitting – Sept 18
– figure out bach party
And to top it all off, we had a doozey of a dress issue with one of my bridesmaids! Luckily, the store pulled through and have ordered her a new dress. It is supposed to arrive Sept 28… Dear Lord I hope it comes on time and is right!!
My fiance and I are headed to Maya Riviera in Mexico! I’m sooooooo excited to sit and do NOTHING for a whole week!
Good luck getting everything done!

How about yourself?

@beesgf we are staying at the sandals grande. I think the jade is where they stayed during the filming of the bachelor 🙂

I am stressing about not knowing what all I need to do. I haven’t done much here lately and I feel like I should be doing something.
Invitations: sent out two weeks ago and am patiently awaiting all responses. So far 61 of 155 have responded (all yes except 3).
Venues: Both booked, deposit for ceremony venue is due on October 1. Once I get an accurate guest count I will need to go over the food with the reception venue.
Vendors: Remaining balance for photographer and DJ are due on the day of the wedding. I need to get a music list together for the DJ so that I can include my favorite songs. I need to send the cake baker the accessories for my cake and her remaining balance is due on October 1. The hair and makeup is paid for because of a discount deal they were having with their gift cards. Mom is handling the harpist for the ceremony.
Decorations: Because our venues are so pretty and have so much character we are not doing anything really in the way of decorating. Depending on what money is left as we get closer to the date we might get some nice flower arrangements. The ceremony venue includes chair covers with sashes and tables for the sand ceremony and guest book. I need to buy pens for the guest book and sand for the sand ceremony (2 more vases also). I would like to get 6 vases for the head table for myself and the bridesmaids to put our bouquets in and have an instant decoration.
Alterations: We are meeting with the seamstress tomorrow for our dress fittings. She says she will have them done in a week or so. It is just some minor hemming I think.
Parties: Shower was last weekend and my bridal party is in the process of planning the Bachelorette party for September 25.
Details: There will be no seating chart, it is a mingling reception with heavy hors d’ oeuvres. I have decided not to rent a limo and to take advantage of the city trolley instead, it should make for great pictures. I need to finish up the rest of the favors, Out of Town bags, groomsmen gifts, wrapping bouquets and decorating flower girl basket. I need to buy rose petals.
What am I forgetting, bees?

I’m taking the weekend off from wedding planning. I’m trying to concentrate on oh, I don’t know, cleaning my house! 🙂 It’s good. Relaxing. Because I’m starting to stress out!!
I understand that, if it weren’t for the cookout we had for the wedding party last week, my house would be way worse than it is! I try to do at least one cleaning project a day, and my laundry is definitely suffering.
