I ordered my San Patrick dress in August of last year, and it still hasn’t come in. I called the salon a few weeks ago to make sure they had my contact information, and they said it should be “any day now.” Should I be calling to ask about a shipping date?

10 months?? That’s ridiculous! Yes, you need to ask about a shipping date and ask for a tracking number, too.

@solidarity: I’ll second this. 10 months for a dress is insane. Is this a custome creation? Hand beaded? Lace made in a small shop in France by a team of little old ladies?
If so….it still should have been in your hands a couple of months ago. Friggin’ wedding dresses, man.

Yes, I would defintely do that.

I thought I should probably be worrying… and that has been highlighted by the fact that my BM’s dresses (which we ordered in April) came in yesterday (from a different salon).
I have heard, though, that Pronovias/ San Patrick have had an explosion in demand this year, and that they may be running behind on production. And, because I ordered my dress 18 months in advance, I’m sure my order went to the bottom of a pile somewhere.
Luckily I still have time before the wedding!

Thanks for your moral support, ladies! I called the salon this afternoon, and my dress was in! Apparently I was on the “To Call” list, but got to them first.
Sigh of relief!
