yes if you call them like right now and pay a rush fee they should be able to do it.

Look up a bridal seamstress RIGHT NOW. I’m sure they can take it. Most take a week or two depending on how busy.

Are you on the phone yet?

It can definitely be done 🙂  All my alterations were done in the last 14 days – including taking in 4 inches through the bodice.  Just don’t stress like I did, I’m sure I lost a few pounds in those last few days!!!  Good luck, you’ve got time!

glasskey:  I’m sure it would be fine, call around to a few good dress makers and someone will be able to help, it may just cost a little extra to rush it through! Don’t panic, there’s always a way to fix these things!

glasskey:  No prob.  My shop was very cheap. For all my alterations it was about $80 I think (take in bodice, deconstruct and reconstruct lace sleeves, and 3-point bustle).

My wedding is also August 2nd.  Last Friday I tried on my dress and it also needed to be taken in about 4 inches on the bodice.  The seamstress was annoyed and warned me not to lose anymore weight, but she will have it done by this Friday for a final fitting (one week later).  You should be fine!
