Hey bees! #113 is off the list!!!!
As you know, I had my suspicions that Fiance (omg omg does not feel real yet!) was planning something for this weekend. But after a conversation last night I wasn’t so sure…
Well, this morning we attempted to watch the sunrise from the mountain near our house – I say attempted, because we were on the wrong side and missed it! Still beautiful to see our city shrouded in mist 🙂
After that, he drove us down across the lake and we saw some hot air balloons getting ready to fly, so we stopped and walked around. There was ice on the grass, so I walked out a heart pattern in the grass for him 🙂
We walked across the road and he stopped at the car, told me to look away and got stuff out of the boot (suspicions definitely raised then!) for a picnic breakfast at the nearby rose garden. We walked around, enjoying the sunshine – it was still -4 degrees! – and he got his new camera out and said he’d like to take some pics. We walked around a kind of roundabout in the garden and he said something that I didn’t catch, but later he told me that the first letter of the words spelled out “will you marry me”. Then he said “Put more simply…” got down on one knee, pulled out a TARDIS ring box, and said “alsgirl, will you marry me?” and I said “yes, yes of course!”
He’d even managed to smuggle in a bottle of champagne and glasses! We took a couple of pics and enjoyed a delicious brekky in the beautiful garden 🙂
My awesome TARDIS ring box, and ring close-up
Me and Mr. alsgirl – he was taking pics “to show the marquee people at that wedding expo” and told me to stand under the arch for size reference. He set the self timer and ran in!
