Okay so currently my FH has 5 friends he would like to be his groomsmen. I only have 4… I have more friends but after those 4 it gets to where I would have a VERY hard time choosing from the rest.
I have always assumed his sister (she will be 14 at the wedding) would do guestbook or something like that. But now i’m wondering about Jr. bridesmaid? We don’t have any boys to be a Jr. Groomsman along with her… what would it look like to have her paired up with one of the regular groomsmen? (She is very tall- taller than me. She acts a lot younger than her age, though).
Any suggestions? And yes, I know the numbers don’t have to be even, but for me they do! For some reason I really hate when the attendant numbers don’t match and I’ve always said I will not do that.
I don’t even know what a Jr. Bridesmaid really is?

To me 14 seems a little old for a Junior Bridesmaid. Are you worried it would be odd if she was paired with an adult male groomsmen? What about making her a full-bridesmaid?

@kerri13: Honestly I have no frackin clue what a Jr Bridesmaid is! I think at some point someone just made it up! lol
Really, she is 14 years old, about to enter high school I presume, It’s time to start acting like a young lady. I would pair her with a adult groomsmen and start training her on being a young woman appropriately. Know what I mean? I hope I made sense lol

I would make her a regular bridesmaid. The title of ‘jr bridesmaid’ really doesn’t make much of a difference, as she’d be filling the same position as a bridesmaid would. Maybe being labeled as a regular bridesmaid will encourage her to act a little older.

Those are good points! So what about for things like bachelorette parties etc? I guess I was thinking Jr. just because then I wouldn’t feel bad leaving her out of things that she really is too young for (thinking lingerie, alcohol, etc.). But I guess it’s just understood she wouldn’t go.
