This week I decided I was finally going to start and excercise. I am 5’7″ and a size 6 and happy with the way I look, but I turned 30 this year and figured it was time I start to worry about it…the problem is I am the worst at sticking to things. I thought and thought and realized if I can’t give myself 15 minutes a day there si really something wrong. So for the last 3 days I have walked a mile each day in 15 minutes. It is a silly small thing but it feels great! I am hoping to keep it up and increase the time and start to run as well

Small steps are always the best way to start!
Keep it up!

Great job! Starting out with a little at a time is a wonderful way to work on getting it in your routine! If it’s too complicated or takes too long, you are more likely to not do anything.

I agree, small steps are always best…and than you will get bite by the work out bug and being going 6/week for a hour or more, like me 😀

I hope it works out well for you…and it sounds like a good, easy to follow and stick with regimen

Great job! I’m not sure your motivation style–I always need a challenge and goal in mind. In order to keep in shape I usually sign up for a race and it fooorces me to get up and run. Perhaps a 4th of July 5K or 1 mile race or even Labor Day race if you’re not quite ready will keep you going and continue your commitment. Best of luck!
