So, Fiance (!!!) propsed in a very low-key way on Christmas Day! Here’s the story:
We spent the night on Christmas Eve at my mom’s house, and celebrated with my family on Christmas Day. We finally got home to exchange gifts at 8:30pm on Christmas. I noticed a ring-box-sized gift under the tree before we left on Christmas Eve, but tried to put it out of my mind!
We opened gifts, and the little box was the last one I opened. I saw a ring box and held my breath…but it was empty!
As I was opening it, though, now-FI got down on one knee, pulled a ring out of his pocket, and proposed!! I was seriously just in shock!
He proposed with a simple rose gold band – he said he wanted us to pick out a ring together, since he knows I’d like to have a say about a piece of jewerly I will be wearing for the rest of my life! We made an appointment at the jewelry store I am most interested in for Jan 9th (it was the earliest we could get in!)…I wish it was today! But even looking at my little band makes me smile so much!
After he proposed, we were both so excited and wanted to celebrate…but not many things are open on Christmas at 9pm! So we went to 7-11 and got slurpees (lol) and lit off some bottle rockets and sparklers on a balcony overlooking the skyline of our city 🙂
It was low-key, but so perfect!
Ring pics to come, once I finally have one!!
I told Fiance I was planning on buying him an XBOX One as an engagement present, but he said he would like an engagement ring, too! We’ve already found his…a nice wooden band – but are waiting to order it until we order mine 🙂
