I am wanting a round halo e-ring but I can’t decide what size stone I want! My finger is a size 5, and I am thinking about a 1.5ct center stone. Does anyone have these specs on a size 5 finger? I am worried that it might be a little too gaudy on my little finger, so I would love to get an idea of what this size ring would look like on my size finger, so if you have any pics please post them! Thanks!!

I have a size 5 finger and a 1.25 round stone on a solitaire setting. I love how my stone looks on my finger, but 1.50 stone wouldn’t hurt
here’s my ring for proportional reference:

Depending on how wide the halo is you’re probably looking at something that looks similar to this lady’s (she has a size 5.25 finger and 1.50 center stone):

And finally, here’s one of my all time favorite threads to look at when I want to see some halos: http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/a-collection-of-halos-t121549.html

I wear a 5, should be 4.5. 1.35 ideal cut round.

Here’s mine. My halo has a gap, which makes the setting wider. It’s definitely a ‘look,’ I’d say, so it all depends on what you want. Stone ~1.6 carats, ring size 4.5.

@Heartly: Your ring is to die for. Can you give the specs? center stone? tcw? ring size? Absolutely beautiful.

@LilliePad: My center stone is 1.44, over 2 tcw and I’m a size 5. I don’t think it will look too gaudy at all!

If we’re talking diamonds I would personally find that a bit “much”. I would even find a 1.5 solitare on a size 5 to be pushing it.
However, if we’re talking a darker or less scintillating center stone, that might look very nice!

I don’t think any of our rings look like too big or gaudy. What’s anmore acceptable size? My ring is big (size 5.25) while my finger is a 4.75 but I’ve gotten nothing but compliments. I think these are larger and attention getters but gorgeous

I think a 1.5 is a perfect size for a size 5 finger. I have a 1.3 on a size 4.75 and I wish Darling Husband had gotten a 1.5ct. But I won’t complain, I only asked for a 1ct so now I am just getting greedy.
