    @inwaiting:  I would def. go to a store and try some on that size to get an idea of how it looks and feels on your finger, I was suprised by what I did and didn’t like, anything under .6 was too small for my tastes and anything over 1 carat seemed like it would get in the way, so i went right in the middle! I do love the look of bigger stones, so if I ever get an office job I might have to upgrade!

    @Moonbear17:  I adore this ring. Like you, I can be quite picky and as a result, change my mind often about the ring style I like, but for some reason this one has stuck. I absolutely love it. Miss Dragonfly84 has the same ring and so does another Bee but I can’t recall her name at the moment.

    Can you post more pics please? I would really appreciate it 🙂

    I have a 1.5 cushion cut diamond in a cushion halo on a 5.5 size finger.  Cushions face up a bit smaller than RB so this might be an OK approximation.  I think it’s the perfect size.

    @inwaiting:  I’m a size 4.75 and have a 2 carat round in a cushion halo.  Here’s a pic if you’re interested:

    @inwaiting I only think it’s too big when I’m around people who are very judgemental and don’t have the same ring budget my fiance had.  One thing that is annoying is that it’s constantly moving around, the diamond will not stay where it should be…but I think that’s partly a sizing issue 🙂  I don’t have any more photos, but this is what I’m thinking for my wedding band…

    gorgeous vintage wedding band, this is beyond perfect. I want this so bad!

    @inwaiting:  Sorry, I’m new to this site, just realized how to link my reply to you…see above for my wedding band idea.  I think you should go into a store and try some rings on, I was certain I wanted a 2ct. ring, but realized 1.5 looked like 2ct. on my finger and with the halo a 2 would have been too big! And since you have small fingers you might be surprised at how big a 1.5ct w/halo look.  Good luck!!

    @inwaiting:  i think it’s a nice size.  keep in mind, the halo part can be thick or dainty.  that is what will add the extra finger coverage.  with a nice size stone of 1.5, i would go with a more dainty halo as not to take away from the centre stone.

    welcome to the hive and i can’t wait to see the finished product.
