Thank You!!  I waited a long time for it!!  We decided to buy a house after talking about getting engaged for 2 years, then I had to wait another year for the ring…but it was worth the wait πŸ™‚  Thanks!!

@inwaiting: The concept of engagement is kind of outdated here. You just are “together” until you decide to get married. To be honest although I like being engaged and having a ring I think this way makes a lot more sense and would mean fewer women going psyco while waiting!

@inwaiting:  That sounds gorgeous!! And definitly not too big! You will love it! My center stone is 1.5ct and the others around (halo and band) make the total about 2.25ct. Once were married, I am adding 2 bands (bottom and top) with diamonds. Good luck with your ring!! πŸ™‚

What is RB? I am so confused lol, but like I say to everyone on here, nothing is too big or too small. Personally, I myself would not want a halo with a 1.5 on my 4.75 finger (partly because every single one of my peers that’s married or engaged has a halo setting) and because 1.5 is already a big size, adding a halo would just make it bigger. My ring I have picked out has a 1.25 carat diamond center stone with two sapphire side stones and a cathedral/pave setting, that size with the setting I have picked out still scares me a little. I have a fear of getting mugged over it because in my region of the Midwest it is rare to see a center stone over .5 carats, let alone on a college student. My SO and I did check out a 1.5 carat stone at first but I chickened out over the size on my finger and decided 1.25 was just right with the setting. BUT this is totally a personal opinion and definitely not a suggestion.

My Center is a 1.01 ct cushion in a .50 ct cushion halo. My ring is a size 4.5 but my actual ring size us about a 4, but I had to fit it over my knuckle. It is from Ritani! I love it…just got engaged last Thursday : )
