16DPO, no AF, BFN. What's going on?

Do you know when you ovulated? That is the only way to determine if you are late. If you ovulated a few days later than normal, than you would not have gotten your period yet. If you ovulated later, it could be too early to test, or you just wouldn’t have gotten your period yet.

jessiequick88 :  You’re probably not 16dpo. OPKs can give you false positives. You mentioned you’re in a high stress time and that can impact your cycle. I’d assume you ovulated late and AF or a BFP will show up late as well.

so i assume you confirmed O based on OPK alone?

LH surge can easily be 2 days before O, fwiw.  For me it was not uncommon to ovulate 2 days post +OPK.

I’ve also just..  had a long LP once.  Where OPK + temps confirm I ovulated and got to 17DPO before AF arrived.  No idea what happened that cycle.  Typically my LP is 13 to 15 days long.  

So, all in all, I’d assume the BFN means you’re not pregnant, at the moment.  Sorry bee–hopefully next cycle.
