SOS!!! Just going crazy here. I am 17dpo and af is no where to be seen. No usual AF symptoms at all. Generally I get excurtiatingly sore boobs the week before AF and then they slowly subside, as well as cramps a day or so before. This time, the sides of my boobs got a little sore at 12dpo and now are barely sore at all! I havent had any cramps but have had some weirder pings of pain up a bit higher than usual AF cramps. I gave in and tested in the evening yesterday at 16dpo and got a BFN. Is it possible by hcg was just too diluted to come through on a test (even an early response test)? It was about 8pm and I had already peed close to 4 times that even and only held it for 1 hour before testing…. but I just couldnt wait until morning. My period is usually like clockwork with 28 day cycle, getting AF on cd28 (14dpo), occasionally it will be a fday early or late but never strays this far. but now NOTHING. Just looking for some advice! Am I crazy to think I still may have a chance? Im going to wait it out for a couple more days before testing again but with FMU this time. Any stories of late BFP? Thanks!!

Wouldnt let me edit but the other strange thing thats happened this month is that I have got pimples on my chest and back which NEVER happens. I was on accutane over a year ago and I havent gotten a pimple besides on my face since I started accutane. So its VERY weird that I would have any kind of breakouts, let alone on my chest and back.

If you are actually late, a pregnancy test will be accurate no matter what time of day or how diluted your urine is. It’s very common during these Covid times for people with regular cycles to be a little off from time to time, most likely you have ovulated later than you think. There’s always still a chance until af arrives.

thanks for the reply! Ive had no variation during these covid months but it is possible I ovulated later, since I wasnt tracking besides CM and I find mine varies anyways. I will just keep waiting! I’ve seen a lot of stories of BFPs not showing until late, so keeping a little hope but expecting af to show. Thanks!

Do you keep track of your ovulation signs? If so, were they on time this cycle? If so, I would think you have a good chance of being pregnant (assuming you had sex during your fertile window, of course). I would test again tomorrow FMU.
Personally, I had a blaring positive at 16dpo when I was pregnant. But I have heard stories of people who didn’t get a positive test until later!

I had a dye stealer 5 days before my missed period and my best friend is the opposite – 3 pregnancies and never tests positive until her period is over a week late. Usually by the time you’ve missed your period you should be able to get an accurate result but every pregnancy is different!

I’d put money on the fact that you ovulated late. When I was pregnant and tracking ovulation through BBT and tracking CM, I had a blaring positive by 11DPO. If you’re truly 17DPO and any of the symptoms you’ve described above are related to pregnancy, you’d have an obviously positive test by now. If you have HCG levels strong enough to produce physical symptoms, you’d be able to turn a positive test.
For peace of mind. I’d strongly suggest tracking O so that you know in the future, because the TTC rollercoaster can be a wild ride.
