I prefer yellow gold and 14k is stronger than 18k

I think if you’re looking for something timeless, yellow is a good option. I also find yellow gold to be a more earthy tone than rose, but it’s largely personal preference.

I think the rose compliments your skin tone more than the yellow does! The 14k yellow looks a bit washed out in comparison.

The rose gold looks great with your skin tone. 18k rose gold is a beautiful color in general. You can’t go wring with either choice.

They’re both gorgeous! I’d say I’m a bit biased, because I have rose gold, but I also adore a good soft yellow gold. Your skin tone looks wonderful with both, and when I see photos like this, it just reaffirms my love of non-white metals!

Both colors are beautiful on you! But go with what you prefer, and what you feel looks better on you because you can’t go wrong either way.

As for the prongs, I did a rose gold ring, but we did white gold prongs. I have a sapphire, so it is a little different than a diamond. We did white gold so the prongs wouldn’t throw any color on the sapphire. And the jeweler was pretty adamant about white gold prongs for my particular stone.

I am probably biased (my ring is 14k rose gold!) but I did vote for the rose gold because it looks so lovely against your skin!

The prongs on my ring are rose gold, and my stone (a colorless moissanite) doesn’t pick up any warmth at all from them! πŸ™‚ My stone always looks very white (which is what I personally prefer!)
