- Wedding: May 2013
A coworker of mine kept commenting she was surprised how calm I was. (She’s getting married ~5 months after me and was saying how she’s less calm than I have and she has lots of time yet.) I should have knocked on wood. Starting last night around 8 pm, the stress factor went way up. (I think it’s because now the shower and bach party is out of the way so the next big event to think about is the wedding itself.)
Let me vent a moment, please? 🙂
1) Our wedding coordinator for the ceremony (free from church) is what kept me calm about the pastor’s lack of detail/organization/memory, etc. She emailed me a week or so ago and said she has to turn our wedding over to another coordinator since she’d be outta town. (sigh) no biggie. She said the new coordinator would be in touch with me very shortly. I never heard from her and finally emailed the new one myself middle of last week. Still nothing. So.. now I have an unorganized pastor and… no one else to help from the church?
2) I realized that who we thought we had to drive the vans on the wedding day is unable to. (Misunderstanding on my part – not them being flakey.) Now I’m freaking out cuz I have two vans rented and have no idea who to ask to stay sober/drive us. #FREAKINGout.
3) I’m worried from a time perspective. Friday before the wedding we have to, from scratch, get everything set up and decorated for the reception, pick up the vans, pick up the beer truck, rush to the church to decorate that, have the rehearsal, and have the rehearsal dinner.
Those are my top 3 stressors. The rest less important.
Is it over yet?
Thanks for listening 🙂
(I have a work meeting to run to now so I’ll have a stress-distraction for about an hour lol)
