My Fiance & I decided we were going to have a theme wedding and since our first dance song is by Frank Sinatra we figured it was fitting. Now the hard part – I am not having much luck trying to get the details figured out. I want a late 1940’s, post war style with a Hollywood Glam feel.
My dress style will be either Aline or Ballgown, Lace & Silver beading with detailed back. I was originally not going to use a veil but now I am in love with the birdcage ones. The bouquest I am doing – I plan on making them out of paper, feathers, and brooches. The girls will be wearing a lavender/lilac color with sweetheart neckline with a one shoulder strap – as long as it looks right on my girls since they are different sizes & shapes. I am thinking the jewelry will be more pearls and rhinestones. I was also thinking that all the girls will wear elbow lenght gloves. The guys will be wearing gray suits and Fiance may possibly wear a fedora.
We were thinking of having a Frank Sinatra impersonater at the wedding during dinner. We were thinking instead of DJ playing our first dance song, this guy could sing it. My mom and stepdad suggested a comedian for dinner but we are not sure which way we want to go.
Any tips/advice/pictures/etc to help me plan the details of our themed wedding?
