Just as the title says… how far along were you (with your first) when you first felt flutters and kicks? I know with 2nd babies, you tend to feel it sooner so I’m curious about the first baby!
I’m 19 weeks today and have felt nuthin. I thought a couple weeks ago I felt 4 or 5 distinct pops/kicks.. but other than that… nothin. Today I may have felt the odd flutter, but I’m not even sure.
When did you first feel your baby??!!!

With my first I didn’t feel the baby until about 23-25 weeks. I had an anterior placenta though, and even late into pregnancy had issues with feeling him. I felt a few flutters starting at maybe 20 weeks or so.

I felt the first flutters at 19 weeks but oh-so-faint. I actually laid down and didn’t move for quite a while when I first felt it. It felt like someone gently tapping inside lol.

Right at 20 weeks. We had the anatomy scan at 19 weeks 4 days and could see the baby moving like crazy but I couldn’t feel it. Felt my first definite kick a few days later at 20 weeks exactly!

I remember it being around 22 weeks or so and by 23 my husband could feel them on the outside at times. I think I didnt know what was movement and what was gas?? I am anxious to see how it happens this time!

I think it was around 16 weeks but I had twins so I wonder if they were pushed up closer to the surface.

20 weeks when I first felt fluttering. I also had anterior placenta. I could feel good kicks around 22 weeks.

20 weeks to the day. I had to lie very still for a good while and really feel for them, but they were there. Once I got a better sense of exactly what I was feeling for, it got easier to recognize them. It wasn’t too much longer when I saw my belly move one night when I felt them — my husband saw it too, or else I would have thought I imagined it!

I felt flutters at 16 weeks. I’m almost 21 weeks now and can see and feel definite movement- especially when I’m on my back in bed.

I thought I was feeling something around 15 weeks. It was like a squeezey feeling and I thought it was the baby moving. Nope. Just early Braxton Hicks. Real kicks were at 21 weeks.

I remember feeling a distinctive flutter at 12 weeks, and I chalked it upto gas because that’s exactly what it felt like. I really dont know if thats what it was or not. I don’t think I felt another until 18 or 19 weeks. When I realized it wasn’t gas I thought it was funny how I’ve been feeling that flutter my whole life! Then it started getting stronger to where it felt like a bowling ball rolling around in there.
After I delivered, i forgot what it felt like for the longest time….now, everytime i get occasional bubbles, I am oddly reminded of what it felt like and get a little sad haha
You should be feeling it pretty soon if you haven’t already, and it’ll become stronger & unmistakable within the next few weeks. and you’re going to love it!! 🙂

I felt the first “flutters” at 16 wks. It felt like little muscle twitches and got stronger from there. I was able to feel movement on the outside of my tummy for the first time at 19 wks. Posterior placenta.

MrsPhilly: I thought my stomach was upset with me around 16.5 weeks. After a week, the feeling got a bit more pronounced, and I started feeling what felt like something flopping around inside. Around late 17 weeks/early 18 weeks I noticed my first distinct kicks.

I have anterior placenta which blocks baby’s kicks so I felt them between week 20-21 and they were full movements not flutters – missed out on those.

I was around 15 weeks.. But most of my friends are 20 weeks or so before they felt anything.
