cakecup123 :  We grew up in the 80’s and love music from that era.  Our first dance song was “Angel Eyes” by The Jeff Healey Band.

We also had 80’s love songs playing thoughout dinner…everyone loved it!!

We spent hours listening to playlists on YouTube. We’d narrowed it down to two (‘Until’ by Sting, which was in the movie Kate & Leopold, and something else that I can’t even remember now!) then randomly something popped up on recommendations so we’re dancing to ‘Friend Like Me’ from Aladdin, but a recent version sung by Ne-Yo.

It felt a bit like we went ‘f*ck it’ and picked that, but it makes us both smile!

cakecup123 :  yeah.. I was pretty annoyed but there are so many good Van Morrison songs that there are still others we can pick from. We might do Tupelo Honey by him instead.. I like the idea of walking down the aisle to Crazy Love!

Ours was “Why I Love You” by Major. Darling Husband is big on music and he insisted on this. I’m actually a big fan of the song now because of the lyrics.

Sea of Love. Not married yet, but I really love this tune. It’s sweet and short and seems easy to dance to.

We also have a lot of older 50s/60s/70s songs in our playlist so it feels fitting. Music is so fun

jessiebear85 :  I am obsessed with this song (well, I’m really I’m just obsessed with Ed lol), but it’s SO overplayed and feels almost cliche at this point. I’m kind of hoping by the time our wedding rolls around it won’t be as popular but I’m hunting for something else I love as much.

We went with a cover of “La Vie en Rose” by Daneila Andrande. It was simple and sweet.

@anabolina, you sound exactly like us. Very different taste in music! We agreed on David Gray, This year’s Love. It was a song we both loved and felt connected to. So OP, even if you don’t have a song that reminds you of eachother, it’s nice to pick one that you both feel attached to.

We cannot decide on a song! We have a playlist on Spotify where we’re trying to narrow down choices. Country music is really our only overlap in music taste, so that seems to be where we’re heading. I think the front runner is “Bring It On Home” by Little Big Town.

FI’s cousin danced to “Take the World” by Johnnyswim and I’m OBSESSED with it, but we won’t use that obviously. ๐Ÿ™‚ Wanted to throw it out there in case others need ideas!

KeeKalena :  thanks for sharing this! I had heard this song in the past and loved it, I love how quirky it is and my fiance loves it too ๐Ÿ™‚ definitely thinking about it!! we love the part about Rogaine ๐Ÿ˜€

For anyone else looking, the song “lucky” by jason mraz and colbie caillat is SO cute, we would use it, but I only know about it because my fiances friends used it last year… so tempted to steal lol
