We’ve finally gotten to putting together the centerpieces. We were originally thinking of hanging mini paper lanterns, then I thought of small votive holders. But after Fiance put all the flowers on, i dont think it needs much more. There’s tiny lights in there too but they’re not very bright. I’m going to put candles on the table and we’re having cafe lighting over the whole reception (outdoor in Oct) like this http://boards.weddingbee.com/?bb_attachments=1037267&bbat=128964 . So there should be plenty of lighting. The second picture has our DIY table markers. What do the Bees think?

Pretty! Be aware that anything taller than 8″ will obstruct views and hinder conversations across the table.

i am not usually a fan of tall centerpeices because of restricted view, but this doesnt look like it would be a problem, the base is narrow enough. just to be sure, i would sit at the table with it and see how you feel.

VERY nice! I don’t think obstruction of view would be a huge problem due to the airy-ness of the setup. The branches aren’t dense and it should be pretty easy to look across to see another person.
But, like the others said, best bet would be sit down with someone across from you to see how it feels, looks, and works.

@ all the obstruction view comments – i thought the same thing about how it might not be bad because of the “airy-ness” also but i’m a little concerned about the table markers. they’re 8×10 and the ones that are portrait, not landscape, might block some view. Good idea to sit at the table with it, I’ll try that!
Thanks everyone! 🙂

I think they will be lovely when the table is complete. I wouldn’t worry about anything blocking the view unless it is 14″ or taller. The clear glass hurricane isn’t going to obstruct anything.
