This past weekend I had my first official dress fitting. I must admit I was a little worried b/c my bridal shower was the day before and I over indulged on delish nom nom’s! Plus my fitting was in the afternoon and we stopped for lunch on the way there….. since I have no self control I ate like normal, def didn’t order a salad!!! LOL
After lunch we headed to DB for the fitting, on the way we were held up by a passing train. Let me tell you it felt like the longest train ever! Once we arrived I unloaded my shoes, veil, hair flower, slip, crinoline and THE DRESS and divvied them out to my “helpers” (mom, gram, cousin and cousins daughter) They were more than willing to help me lug everything in.
We were ushered back to the fitting area and I was told to get in my dress. YAY! I’ve been waiting for this. My mom assisted and the dress zipped up, thank goodness!! I then stepped out on to the pedestal to be scrutinized. The “fitting lady” looked me over and determined that I don’t need anything done to the top/bodice or waist! AWESOME! When I ordered the dress they insisted that I would have to have it let our 2-3 inches… NOPE! I did have to get it hemmed just a little so “fitting lady” got right to work. 🙂
Now I literally CAN NOT WAIT TO WEAR her on the wedding day!!!!! How was your first fitting?
And I am having them add buttons on the back, down the zipper. I fell in love with that look while trying on dresses and they will do it for $5 per 2 buttons!!! What a great deal! Can’t wait to see it all finished!!
