I purchased my dress mid March and it finally came in over the weekend! This was probably the 7th or 8th dress I tried on. I loved it…I KNEW this was THE dress! After I purchased it, I started having moments of dress regret. I was initially worried it didn’t fit with our venue (I’m over that now) but the pics that Maid/Matron of Honor & my mother took were less than flattering. I was convinced that was the problem. I deleted the pictures and tried to imagine how I felt in it and how I remember looking. I eventually got over the regret and anxiously waited for it to arrive. Fast forward to today….I still LOVE the dress, but I’m not sure I love me in it. It needs to be taken in about 1 inch the hips and about 1/2 inch under my arms (which will define my waist more) and hemmed a couple of inches (I’m not standing on a pedestal. I have 4in heels on). I also purchased a trumpet crinoline but I’m not wearing it in the pic. I’m just not as WOW’d by it as I initially was. Maybe after the 2nd fitting I’ll feel differently. I still need to pick out my veil and accessories so I’m sure that will help too!

It’s a beautiful dress!!! And you look amazing in it!!
When you go back for your second fitting, do your hair, make up, bring your crinoline etc and see how you feel. I bet all dolled up, you’ll feel like a million bucks!

I wouldn’t worry about it yet, the difference between how my dress looked from 1st to 2nd fitting was like night and day. The first fitting I came home freaking out because it was too big and made me look huge! But at the second fitting, you could finally see the right fit!
This dress looks amazing on you, and I think it already looks flattering, and will be more so after it’s taken in!

I think it looks fantastic on you! Something to remember… phone pics are great for quick shots but they are deceiving. With all the right acoutremants (sp?) I think you will fall in love with it again!

It looks beautiful. I had dress regret until the day of my wedding. When I put my dress on on my wedding day with everything done up, I fell in love with it all over again and everyone else absolutely loved it. I was like you. I hated the pictures that my mom took of me in the dress, but pictures from my wedding are gorgeous. Your dress is stunning. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it again when you’re all done up!
