I went dress shopping this morning for the first time for my late September bay area wedding at an Observatory in the mountains. I am trying to pick something that is slimming and also timeless. I will be going to additional places in the next month but would appreciate honest feedback that my friends might not be able to give me.
1.) Essence of Australia A-Line
2.) Unknown A-Line
3.) Mori Lee Ball Gown
4.) Mori Lee A-line

The unknown A line makes your waist look much smaller than the other styles. I think it looks really special on you. The Morilee A line is gorgeous too.

I like number one or number four best on you!

Number 3 and 4 were the only two that made me smile. Number 4 has been on my mind since after the appointment.

Number 2 is the only one that gives you a waist. Number 3 is the least flattering – that drop waist makes you look bigger than what you are.

The second one is the most flattering. I like that it defines your waist and makes your body look like a perfect hourglass

In my honest opinion, I don’t think any of these help you achieve the look you described above. I can tell you are slim and have a nice shape – I feel like these are adding weight, if that makes sense. What about trying more ballgown styles, or a-line dresses with belts/sashes that give you a more defined waist? I think they would flatter you and emphasize your small waist.

Girl this is the all answer you need – not opinions from the bee! Though I understand the need for some validation (I’m the same exact way haha) 🙂 if this dress is still on your mind, say, next week, I say go back, try it on again, take more pics and see how you feel. 3 and 4 were my favorites as well! Goodness knows you don’t want a dress that doesn’t make you smile 🙂 and if you think about it more and just aren’t crazy about them, it’s also fine to keep looking. (Note: I also think you can make a dress as slimming or as not fitted as you want with alterations – sometimes it is hard to picture when it isn’t perfectly fitted to you!) Good luck bee – just follow your gut with this decision.

I think 4 is beautiful on you!

#4 with a belt and a slip with some poof would be perfect.
These off the shoulder sleeves are gorgeous on you! So special. 🙌🏽🎊

If you took a belt like the one in number 2 and added it to dress 4 it would accentuate your waist and you’d have a winner
