Very nice, but I think you can do better 🙂

I did kinda go by myself. I took my wedding planner/friendor with me. I loved it. We had an appointment at two stores, but I found “the one” at the first store. And I only tried on 5 gowns.

I went shopping alone about half the times. It was kind of easier.

I went alone on one of my trips and that is actually when I found my dress.

Yep, I went alone, picked my dress but brought my Mom back a 2nd time just to “ok” my choice!

I did most of my shopping alone, and that is how I found my dress.  I did go out with my mom, and another trip with my BMs, but I really think that I needed to shop on my own.  Shoot, at one of my appointments, one of my BMs wanted me to try on a dress so she brought me the whole freaking mannequin.  So much better off on my own.

I love the Melissa, the sweet heart neckline is great on you. I am sure which ever dress you pick will be lovely you have a great figure. I considered going alone too, because I dont actually trust my mom’s opinion and my sister my Maid/Matron of Honor taste is just different than mine. My Fiance would know what I want and I believe his opinion, but I want him to be surprised so I am torn too.

I have been on my own several times because my mum and BMs are all overseas. My experience has ranged from the incredibly pushy (“if you don’t buy it right now I can’t give you a good price” and “you need to order this dress today or it won’t be ready in time”) to the lovely and laid back lady who actually took photos for me so I could send them to my mum (none of the other shops allowed it).

I found the most helpful thing was taking photos (whether proper ones or sneaky ones), as only then you get to see how you really look in the dress and how other people will see you. It also means you can compare them side by side. Plus posting the pics on hear and getting everyone’s input is also helpful and fun!

I think the first dress looks great on you – a really flattering shape. I hope you have fun when you go shopping with your MOH!

I went shopping alone, and it went ok, I mean I got a dress but I really wanted that experience of having other people with me who were excited and could give me support. My consultant was very young and had no idea how to dress my body, but I do know so oh well. Wish I could have had some people with me and supporting me but it’s over now so whatever. In some ways I think it was probably easier to go alone though.

You look beautiful in the 2 dresses above!! I especially love you in the 2nd one!! just stunning!

Man, I like your face, it’s pretty and makes dresses look way better. As to these 2, I like polka dot fabric better, but the 2nd one looks better on you. Still, are you only stuck with these 2? I think ball gown might look great on you as well.

Ooooo I LOVE that Dora on you. The polka dots make it extra cool.

I went shopping with friends the first time, my mom and sister the second time. But, when I went to actually buy a dress I went to a different store than I had been to with either of them and went by myself.

When it comes down to it, I know my taste best and didn’t really feel like I would need any one person’s opinion. I was right. When I tried it on I loved it enough that it wouldn’t have really mattered if someone didn’t like it… bahaha.

I agree with the others about the Dora, it’s lovely Smile I never went with anyone, haha- I knew I’d never do the whole traditional dress shopping thing with everyone there throwing out thier opinions- just seemed WAY easier to go by myself & then show everyone online pics of the one I liked, actually worked out great!
