It depends on your own taste!

I have size 4 fingers and for me 2.7 mm would be much too thick, anything over 1.8mm looks really unflattering on my hands.

_mrsO : A little wider than what you’re looking for, but my bands are both 3mm wide. I have pretty short fingers too (my ring finger is a little bit longer than 2″), and my ring size is a 4.5, but my rings are sized at 4.75. I love bling, so I don’t mind the thickness at all, and I actually like that both rings in the set are substantial enough to stand on their own, yet still look great together.

I used to have a 3mm 7 stone band, I’m a size 4. So I imagine a 2.7mm would look extremely similar

I think it should be fine. I wear a 4.5 and seem to have shirt fingers compared to a lot of people also wearing a 4.5 here, my e ring has a split shank that works out to about 4.5mm wide at the top, the face is 6mm, and my wedding band is 2.5mm.

Channel set bands seem to look skinnier than they are compared to plain bands. Mine are 2.3 and 3.2mm, size 4

_mrsO :  My band came in! For reference, my finger size is 4.5 and I have pretty small hands (in 5’3). The wedding band is 3mm exactly! I went ahead and included my set since you mentioned you will be pairing with another ring. My ering band is 2mm.

My channel-set wedding band is 3.22 mm, so quite a bit larger than the 2.7 mm you are looking for. However, just for reference I am a size 4 and I don’t think it looks or feels too large.
