I’m a size 4.75.  My center stone is 2 carat, round brilliant.  I also have a halo and a pave band, combined carat is over 2.5.  I don’t think it looks too big at all.  However, I live in Manhattan, so a 2 carat rock is not uncommon.

I’m a 3.5, so close! Here is my Round Brilliant, it’s a tiny bit over 2 ct. Sorry it’s huge, I can never get the hang of resizing images from my iPad.

jamiegrego:  Thank you! I’ve gotten comments on how big it is, but no one has ever said it’s too big, at least not to my face haha.

I think 2 carats sounds perfect and I love that one with six prongs.  Swooning.

2.02 carats on a 3.5 finger. I could go bigger!

My finger is a size 5 so a little bigger than yours but here are some photos:

8mm (2 carat equivalent):

Not a pure solitaire but 8mm (2 carat equivalent):

7.5mm (1.5 carat equivalent):

And an 8.5mm (2.5 carat equivalent). Posting this as the difference between a size 4 and size 5 ring is about 0.8mm in diameter, so this might actually be closer to how much coverage a 2 carat would have on you:

My favourite (and easiest) size stone to wear is actually the 7.5mm. It just looks nice and classic without being too much (for me). That was the size I wanted originally but they did not have any 7.5mm’s in stock at the time 🙂

I wear a 1.5 on a size 4.5 finger.  I love it.  I could DEFINITELY go up to 2 ct but wouldn’t really want to wear 2 ct to my job.  After a month, I’m used to the 1.5 and don’t think of it as “big” but other people comment on it.
