found this 2-month checklist on a wedding blog.

it focuses on just the second-to-last month, which is where I’m at right now. I freaked a little today when I went on my wedsite and it said 48 days to go!!!

Ultimate 2 month wedding checklist

So many details….

I have to:

1. Get the wedding license

2. Send paperwork to vendors… ie music played to DJ and picture roster to photographer

3. Possibly go to small claims court to get my deposit back from my ex caterer to give to my new caterer (that will be fun)

4. Find low heeled purple (plum) shoes which I’m finding to be impossible

5. Earrings. Ugh It is so hard to find ones without having my actual dress!

6. Pay Flowers and Caterer their balances

7. A friend is making our card box… I just need to double check and make sure she still is because she is getting married in 2 days!

8. Create envelopes to tip everyone. Well not everyone… but I want to give my wedding coordinator something extra cause she has been amazing, and then makeup, hair, and my student staff that is coming to help set up (I’m not tipping businesses or their owners… ie my photographer is the owner of his business, Not tipping the DJ, Photo booth, etc) What are all of you going to do?

9. Get liquor. We are having 2 kegs, wine and a specialty drink

10. Get cups – for some reason noone rents out cups with catering…we would have to go through a different vendor. So throw away cups it is!

11. Pick up wedding bands

12. Make tags for all mason jars for specialty drinks (so they can write their names)

13. Drink signage

14. Finalize menu

15. Create timeline

16. Find a purse

17. Book hair trial

18. Order candy for favors

19. Seating chart

20. Parent gifts – What are all of you getting? Are you doing FI’s parents separately?

I’m sure there are more things I am missing…

@Lyndzo:  LUCKY!  lol

I finally just purchased everything this weekend for decor and DIY decor projects so the next two weeks will be spent hot-gluing my butt off!  We are going next weekend to explore the hiking trails around the site for a ceremony location and then we’ll start on our vows.  I am making homemade jam tonight for my ‘maids but I am ambivalent about the rest of their gift.  We need to order the rings (he can’t find one he really likes, uh oh), need to rent a couple of extra tables and ice chests, meet with my flower chick to order flowers to be picked up (just realized I forgot to get the floral supplies when I was at Joanns, damnit), order the flatware/plates for bbq, delegate music stuff to fiance, show my ‘maid the thumb print tree so she can make it (she’s super gifted)…

basically everything.  *whine*

I had my hair trial yesterday, and I’ve decided I really hate my hair in an up-do, even though I think it would look better with my dress. Now I have no idea how I’m going to wear my hair…
