April 2013 bees! Can you believe almost 2 more months to go??? I’m getting nervous but really excited! It’s going to come by sooner than you know it!
Here’s what I have left to do:
1. DIY-finishing up my ribbon wavers for ceremony
2. Patiently waiting for more RSVPs to get in so I can create escort cards
3. seating chart
4. Print and fold DIY programs for ceremony
5. buy candles for centerpieces
6. waiting for final fitting mid february
7. working with my day-of-coordinator to go over logistics and payment for vendors
8. Enjoy bridal shower and bachelorette parties!
Eeek, I’m getting sooo excited! Hope other April 2013 bees are too! =)

Left to do:
Waiting on RSVP’s so we can figure out our wedding favors
Making centerpieces for the reception
Hand make the ring pillow and paint/decorate the flower girl basket
Have the dress and veil dry cleaned (they’re both gently used)
Engrave his ring. He hasn’t even ordered mine yet
Order the ring bearer tux
I think that’s about it…

I really like the “month twin” boards. I am pretty new to wedding bee and I’m already starting to feel a little addicted. I had some set backs in wedding planning because my coordinator got very ill and I was in the midst of trying to finish school, then have a pretty big surgery, then came Christmas! Luckily I have been in gear the past month but I still feel like I have so much to do!I started planning right after we got engaged (last March) so I got a lot done then.
But lately this is what we have done:
Met with coordinator, she is also our florist
Booked lady that is doing our Linens
Chosen ceremony music
Set date for bachelorette party and shower
Reserved Hotel Block
Finally picked the perfect videographer 🙂
What I still have to do:
DIY projects: dye branches, order candy bar stuff, put sparklers together, decorate favor bags
Order cake topper and cake pulls
Finalize music list
AND the list goes on and on
Unfortunately, there have been some bumps in the road, like we just found out about a week ago the the priest that we have had almost a year for an officiant has been ordered to go on a subbatical for 6 months.
By The Way, am I the only one that feels like time is flying by? Sometimes I get anxiety about what I still have to do. BUT, besides the rollercoaster ride that is wedding planning, I can’t wait to be married to my FI!

FI’s mom is doing most of the planning so I don’t know about her part. Here are our responsibilities: dress and everything that goes with it, suit, officiant, cake, invitations, photographer, and wedding bands.
-The dress and everything that goes along with it almost done (went for alterations today).
-Photographer picked and deposit paid.
-Bakery and flavors picked but are not taste testing because our wedding is 3 hours from home and they only taste test on weekdays and the both of us just started our jobs so not a lot of vacation days yet. We are calling in our order on Monday.
-Invitations and RSVPs are here but only my side of the guest list has been addressed – no surprise.
Things to be done:
-Pay for wedding bands/rings – waiting on fiance.
-Officiant – waiting on fiance.
-Addressing fiance’s side of the invitations.
-Picking out new suit – guess who we are waiting for to get things going there.
-Postage – fiance’s responsibility.
CAN YOU GUESS WHY I WANTED TO ELOPE IN THE FIRST PLACE? Luckily for fiance, his mom is doing most of the planning because he is terrible at it and I refuse to do most of it because I didn’t want to have a wedding in the first place.

I just finished our aisle marker DIY project today 🙂
I forgot to get floral wire so I can’t start making our paper flowers for our paper flower backdrop!! So sad.. oh well atleast I got one project done today.
I sent out my invites this morning too. atleast most of them from my side. FI’s invitations have to be hand delievered so he’s going to takecareof that next week when he is home.
Anyone have any big DIY projects they are undertaking? Are you really saving money doing it yourself?

I am finally finished with my centerpieces. I am so happy since that was the major DIY project I had to do. Now all I need is a few finishing touches on some other things and all of my DIY stuff should finally be done *knock on wood*

@littleluli: I’m trying to do a DIY centerpieces. We’re getting married in Vegas, but I want something Vegas-y but not cheezy.
I liked these square bowls. I can decorate them like dice, and put some nice fake flowers in them. We’re not allowed to do candles at our venue, and fresh flowers are going to be a hassle. I haven’t been able to find square bowls big enough for what I want…Might have to move on to Plan B, which is to come up with a Plan B.

Officially booked my hair and makeup trial for next week. Convenitently on valentines day so I will be able to get some use out of the look and go on a date with Fiance lol. Also am less than a pound away from halfway to my goal in weight loss. Got all the Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts as of yesterday as well as all of my jewelry for the day of. Still have to find Fiance a pair of dress shoes…anyone know anywhere that sells cheap mens shoes? I don’t want to spend a fortune because he will never wear them again
