- Wedding: October 2013
So a couple months ago I posted about having two wedding receptions : the one on the Saturday following the ceremony for family and close out of town friends and another one the following day for friends in the city and our coworkers. Fiance and I are inviting everyone to the ceremony on the Saturday, but creating two separate invitations for each reception.
The one on Saturday is a more formal sit down dinner/dance so I think I have the wording down for that invite.
The one on Sunday is a lot more laid back, it’s going to be at a bar-lounge. We’re still going to decorate a little and provide lots of finger foods, a cupcake tower and swing for a signature alcoholic drink (which I’m very excited about!) we’re also not expecting gifts – though we’re not going to say that in the invite. But if anyone asks we’ll say no gifts neccessary.
I want the invitation wording to be upbeat and fun and I’m kind of at a loss. I also want to politely convey that we’re providing finger foods, but not dinner, so that guests will know to eat dinner beforehand if they want to.
