Mine’s not until October next year – almost exactly 365 days away, ::gasp:: – but since I only have 2 people in my wedding party (my Maid/Matron of Honor = sister, and 1 bridesmaid = cousin) I think I’m going to go to New Orleans and drink it up on Bourbon Street.  πŸ˜‰

LOL, it should be fun.  Gotta get my kicks in before I’m 30! I’ll be 27 this year…boo hoo hoo.

Woo! That sounds like mine!

I’m not a major drinker or partier, but I still want to have a fun day with my girls! Nothing is decided yet, but we’ve talked about a day of Starbucks, the spa and then dinner at a fondue restaurant! πŸ™‚

I am flying back east and we are spending the weekend up in VT (using my parents timeshare).  We will go out one night and probably cook the other meals in the suite.  I cant wait! Not sure how many people will be coming though.  Anywhere from 5-10 I would estimate since some people live pretty far away and others work on the weekend.

Mine’s not for ages either, but i’m getting married in the wine region so we’re talking about doing this “wobbly bicycle” tour of a bunch of wineries up there.  I’m not really much for dancing and partying hard anymore (nearing 30 – guess i’ll have to move over one on the boards before i actually get married!), so I think the wine and a lovely dinner will do me just fine!

It’ll be a one night deal… I think we’re getting a limo and I wanna wear a tu-tu and home-decorated t-shirt (no penis stuff for me!) and we’re going bar hopping.  And I can’t wait!

@MandaMack: HA! Tu tu…I’ve already got my tiara.  πŸ˜‰ And I agree: No on the penis stuff.  It’s just kinda strange in my opinion.  But I’m totally going to dress up and strut my stuff and do brides to be sorta things – whatever those are.

There was talk of getting dressed up and hitting a casino but who knows what it will warp into over the next few weeks. Wink

I think the plan for us is to rent a room in Niagara Falls and just have fun – maybe do a haunted house, scavenger hunt, etc.

@Lassroyale: Why do people cover themselves in penises for a party that’s all women?  IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!  Oh, and really rockin’ heels…Fiance is considerably shorter then me so for the wedding I’ll be wearing flats (::sniffle:: I love heels) so I’m going to find some lust-worthy heels for the bachelorette!

@MandaMack: I LOVE HEELS! I’ve got a pair of pleather navy blue 6-inchers that I love to death.  ::sigh:: Luckily my Fiance is taller than me so I never can seem to catch up unless I’m standing on stair above him…

I might like sexy boots more though.  I’ve got these denim high-heeled boots that I’m always trying to find excuses to wear to mundane events.  πŸ˜‰ LOL.  Yeah and the penis straws and things like that, I’m just sorta like, “Um no…I do NOT want to put that in my mouth, kthanks.”

Even though my party won’t be wild and crazy, I definitely still want a “bride-to-be” sash of some sort. πŸ™‚

@Toaya1: That’s an awesome idea. See, this is why I’m thinking Bourbon Street – I want to carry my drinks with me from place to place and not have to worry about anyone driving drunk.
