One of our hotels is the Sheraton, and there is a discount through 12/31/10 where if guests are staying two nights, the person booking pays the normal rate the first night and the second rate is equal to the last two digits of their birth year. (I.E. If your grandma stays two nights and was born in 1933, her 2nd night rate would be $33.) A cousin of mine shared this info with our guests and they were thrilled.
They do limit the number of rooms can get this rate though. A few weeks after many people had success using it, other guests were told the discount had run out for the night of our wedding.

Hope this helps you and some of your guests!
