I have 16 months left… whoohoo… hihi sorry I’m overexcited to get there lol
So I’m sitting here and going through my check list… so far we have booked our Reception site, our Photographer/Videographer, Party Bus, Hall decorator, Church, DJ… I think that covers all the BIG checks… I have my dress already – actually bought it last year in August. I’m doing my own cake – I have my own cake business with my Future Mother-In-Law. I have most of my accessorries already, just need to finish strassing my shoes with my blue rhinestones and make my garter belts with my Maid/Matron of Honor. I’m doing my pearl bracelet with one of my BMs.
So now it’s save, save, save to pay all these ppl… lol
What about you ladies? What BIG checks do you have done? What do you have left?

I have my venue. It covers the ceremony, reception, food, drinks, and cake. We will meet with the inn later for food tasting. Also will meet up with the baker to go over the cake details.
We are planning to meet the photographer as soon as possible. Just waiting to hear back on something before I make an appointment.
Other than that, the next I’ll do is the dress shopping. I’m trying to wait until October/November. It’s getting harder and harder to do. So I keep myself busy with work. 😉
I’m also hoping to rule out the use of a DJ by paying someone we know who does that stuff as a side job.
I just really need to focus on buying things for DIY projects and such.

@DesireeAnne: I’ve been buying things for my DIY stuff when I get coupons for Michaels, I usually get 50% and 40% weekly which is great for that stuff.

I am a month before you and I feel so behind already!! We have our venue, church and photographer booked but that’s it! I gotta get moving lol.

@MrsSawyer: who did you book with if I may ask?

@couawilou: We are not getting married downtown actually, we are east of the city. I just put Toronto because it’s closest major city. Our photog is from Toronto though, they are Little Blue Lemon Photography.

I’m in March, and I cannot believe how close it is!! I got engaged in October, and all I kept hearing was, “you have sooo much time” so I’ve been twiddling my thumbs and NOW look at me!
I have the photographer, I just bought both of my dresses and my veil, I have started paying for the wedding planner. And we bought our wedding invitations.
What’s left to do?!
His Wedding Band.
DJ (which I think we have figured out but need to solidify)
Limo (again with almost figured out)
And so much more….. O:

@MrsSawyer: I have heard of them before I think from a Bridal Show. We’re having our reception and the Mississauga Convention Centre, our Ceremony in Brampton, we booked Good Vibration for DJ and Excellence Photography for pics and video, I actually won my video with them for free from the Fall wedding show last year hihi. I’m doing my own cake which that alone will save me some good money that I can use for something else. 🙂

@crh1729: My friends also kept telling me “you have so much time, chill and take it easy, etc”… I’m very glad we’ve booked all the big checks, now it’s just a matter of saving and making deposits so we don’t have to pay EVERYTHING on the day of the wedding.

Mine is in April and I have our photographer booked, the reception/ceremony venue booked (kind of, it’s my family’s ranch so that doesn’t really count!) my dress, my invitations are done but not printed yet, and everything else is little DiY projects that I get to work on myself in my downtime. We aren’t getting a caterer, a planner, or a band. One of our groomsmen is a professional wedding DJ so he is bringing all his equipment and just letting music run (no requests- so he gets to enjoy the party too!)

We have the following things taken care of:
I’m still trying to decide on a photographer by the end of next week. From the looks of it, I feel like a slacker…you guys are on a roll!

@HueysLuda: I’m not sure how my post got into the Oct, I thought i put it on the general 2012 lol… you do not have to leave… 🙂 My Fiance wanted to wait to start booking stuff but I kept telling him that things get booked quickly and plus I went to alot of bridal shows and everything that we booked, we got the bridal show deals, which is alot better than waiting. Now he is glad he listened to me hihi… a very rare moment haha
