Has anyone seen/tried on the Rosa Clara “Augusta” gown from the 2012 collection or know the approximate cost (size 4-6)?
Read somewhere that the Rosa Clara line itself tends to be more than her TWO or SOFT lines, but something more specific than $1700-5000+ would really help me decide whether to keep trying to find this dress (I’m in the Midwest — no retail locations here!) or give up and devote my time elsewhere.
Crossing my fingers…I have yet to come across another dress that has made me go “THIS IS THE ONE!”

Very pretty! I had a two by rosa clara dress and loved it. I ended up driving about 2 hours to a trunk show so I could try on a lot of styles on the same day. If they don’t carry Rosa Clara in your area have you looked at pronovias or casablanca? I was also drawn to essence of australia but could never find a place to try them locally.
I would definitely recommend trying on the dress in person since it is such a large purchase. I am a street size 8 and ended up with a size 12 due to my hips and the cut of the dresses. Also Rosa Clara dresses can take up to 7 months to come in since they are made in spain. Sorry I don’t have any real tips on the price.

@mjameson83: No problem, thanks for sharing! It’s always great to know how people manage to find their Rosa Clara dresses 🙂 and of course tips about sizing and ordering. I do like Pronovias but haven’t found a particular dress that I’m completely in love with. Thankfully, I still have some time… The search continues!

Was looking for Augusta as well. I just found out the price is $3100. Hope this helps!

Thanks @StaceyK! I received a quote around $3200 as well.
The salon I visited was able to order a sample dress for me to try on, and unfortunately I just don’t have the body type for the dress (which is a good thing, in a way, considering the sticker price!). Definitely for tall, willowy types. Also, the shoulder stitching was a little strange. I can’t remember now what the problem was but I know I didn’t love it.
Also, the gown is gauzy and very, very delicate…GORGEOUS lace on the train, of course, but me being the clutz that I am, I would be very nervous about tearing the dress somehow before even making it down the aisle!
As for sizing, I’m normally 4-6 and the salon ordered size 8. Dress (Two by RC) is supposed to come in next month….very excited!!!
