- Wedding: November 2016
We got married on November 25th and got our photos last Monday. I am so excited about them and want to share them with everyone!
When we got engaged we thought we might like a bigger wedding. But as time was going on we realised it just wasn’t for us. It didn’t feel right. So we found a beautiful hotel that does “Just Us” packages. We fell in love with the place and the idea of having our wedding with just the two of us. People have often asked do I think I will regret it? Hell no! Our day was absolutely perfect. We loved every single moment, it was so us. There were so many little moments that I feel like we wouldn’t have had if it hadn’t been just the two of us.
The day before the wedding we went to the hotel in the afternoon, we ate pizza, talked, exchanged gifts, drank champagne and watched TV. It was such a happy day, so exciting waiting for the next day. The day of we got up really early because we were so excited. We sat outside the hotel in the dark talking and drinking coffee, ate breakfast together. My hair and makeup lady arrived at 10 and our photographer just after. They were amazing. We had such a lovely, relaxing morning. I lit candles, had relaxing music on and really enjoyed getting my hair and makeup done while our photographer and his wife took my (then still) Fiance off to take some photos elsewhere. The ceremony was perfect. I actually can’t remember much of what was said now haha but I do remember getting to the door and saying I felt nervous then walking in and seeing my soon to be husband’s face and feeling so blissfully happy. I remember thinking half way through that I was surprised I hadn’t cried yet… then a couple of minutes later we were both crying LOL.
The whole day was just amazing. After our photographer left late in the afternoon we sat in our room eating chocolate, drinking tea and watching The Simpsons. It sounds so ridiculous but it was probably one of the best moments of the day.
A few photos! I am SO pleased with them.
My husband’s face when I walked in (I love this!)
After our ceremony we went up to our room and the venue had left this bear on our bed. I love him (he’s called Bailey)
