@Laurenskii:  My jewelers is on the hunt for me with a 2 + ct . Currently have a1.75 ct and its not heavy, however the setting plays a factor as well in terms of weight, spinning or bulk on the finger

I have a (almost) 3 carat solitaire on a thin platinum band and while I experience some spinning it doesn’t feel heavy. 🙂

Mine is 3.25 tcw, all set right on top (no pave) and I never really noticed a “heavy” feeling, but it did feel a little bulky in the beginning. I think it’s because I never wore rings on my ring finger before and it was just new to me.

Mine is also a 3.25 tcw. It feels pretty substaintial b/c it’s set in platinum and it has corners on the bottom so that makes up a lot of weight (I don’t think diamonds actually weight that much unless it’s like 10+ct. Most weight comes from the setting). I’ve tried on white gold settings with similar diamond size and it feel like I have nothing on.

I’ve had my 2.5 ct diamond ring for a week and a half now and I have to admit, I’m still getting used to it. I dont think its heavy at all, i think its more that I never worn rings before (other than some cocktail rings for 2-4 hours when going out at night occasionally) and I’m constantly aware that it’s there. Sometimes I change it to my right hand by the end of the day bc I feel that my left hand third finger has had enough…I hope in a couple of weeks I won’t even notice its there, after all,  is a matter of getting used to it.

@Laurenskii:  My ring is just over 2 cts and not heavy in the slightest. I was actually talking the other day about how sometimes I can’t feel it on my finger and panic before looking down and realizing its still there. I think it has alot to do with the setting.

Also, your ring is gorgeous!!

@blushbliss:  Thank you so much!! It’s actually a H color with slight fluorescent so it’s equavlent to a G color. It has excellent cut and VVS clarity so I think together they make the diamond appear extra bling regardless the lower color grade.
