sherryberry:  AF’s timing wasn’t nice for you – I’m sorry.  That’s a rotten Christmas gift for sure!  We’re in the middle of cycle 4 and it’s hard.  FX you get your BFP soon!

For anyone doing a diet overhaul in the new year this is one of the more interesting articles I’ve found on nutrition through the different stages of the cycle, more or less healthy eating but hey if it gives me something else to focus On! And chocolate is on it!

It has been posted on this board several times – but I use this to remind myself what a miracle getting pregnant actually is:

The odds aren’t in our favor – such a journey the sperm need to take and how perfect timing needs to be for everything to work and get pregnant.  Oddly, it has gotten easier to accept the more months we’ve failed.  Have a glass of wine and get ready for a new opportunity!

sherryberry:  So sorry for your AF ๐Ÿ™ I agree with what other PPs have said – no matter how long you’ve been trying, it’s disappointing. When you’re ready, you’re ready, and it seems so unfair that it doesn’t happen. Christmas is ESPECIALLY hard! I’m going through that myself. I was so hopeful this might be my cycle and then I started to get all my AF symptoms. At Christmas Eve church service there were so many adorable babies in their Christmas outfits. We had to sit right in front of one and I just started crying because I wanted that so bad. I think sometimes you just have to wallow for a bit and allow yourself to grieve, no matter how many months it’s been. Each month there’s possibility and hope and it HURTS, so don’t deny yourself some tears and whatever you need to get through it! But have hope – it’s early days, and you’re more than likely going to get that BFP soon. I wish there was more I could say to make it better, but unfortunately we all just have to wait! I always try to give myself some reason that it’s good to wait another month, even if it’s something really silly like being able to drink champagne on New Years Eve!

sherryberry:  Just wanted to offer a big ol’ internet hug to you.  DH and I will be TTC soon so I don’t know what it feels to be dissapointed yet, but +1 to what meadow_jersey posted about watching The Great Sperm Race!

Darling Husband and I watched it a couple of weeks ago I honestly had no idea how the odds are stacked against us.  It definitely puts things into perspective and showed me not to get my hopes up too much.  Best of luck to you and baby dust!

I know how you feel! We started trying in August and I knew that I wouldn’t be so lucky as to get a BFP on the first month. But we had planned on going to see my husband’s family for Christmas and I thought FOR SURE I would be pregnant by Christmas and be able to tell everyone in person. It sucked so bad to get a negative pregnancy test AND still be two days late for AF. Fingers crossed this is our month and the past few months have just been bad timing. The first two months we didn’t stick to EOD, hubby was away during what should have been my FW one month and my Mother-In-Law was here for three weeks one month as well which really put a damper on things. Last month I thought we had good timing but I guess not. Really hoping we get a BFP this month!

sherryberry:  heres my plan for this month! I am sooooo ready to be healthy again!!!!

Drink 1 cup of raspberry leaf tea per day, supposed to be good for healing and toning the utereus and can help with heavy periods so no harm trying. Doesn’t actually taste too bad!

I’ve gone down to 1 cup of coffee a day, which i had been doing anyway, everything else is decaf, i’ve now switched to decaf tea too. Figure in general this a good thing for my body anyway.

Increased my water intake, this is supposed to help with the creation of EWCM. Plus again I needed to drink more anyway!

Taking prenatal vitamins and vitamin c as normal, but have added in evening primose oil until i ovulate. I was taking this up until we started TTC but not for the past 2 months in case it had a negative impact. It really helps me with PMS etc. But according to a website its great for increasing EWCM aswell! You have to stop taking it after ovulation though. But it definately helps with my PMS so its win win too!

Getting more sleep- I have been skimping on my sleep big time, and have gone back to getting a minimu 8 hours sleep again.

Eating healthy- i am usually v good for this but since we married in November i have been off the rails. On top of this post ovulation they say to eat fresh pineapple including the core up to 5 days DPO and also brazil nuts, i love both anyway so I’m going to try this. Its supposed to help with implantation. Also I’m back eating full fat Dairy!!! ahhhh its been about 15 years but apparently its the way to go!!

Exercise-Back to the gym from Monday, getting more hill walks in with my doggies!

And lastly just gonna try to BD whenever we can but not worry too much about the actual timings!

I’m figuring even if we aren’t successful I’ll at least feel a lot healthier next month if AF shows up!! Anyone anything else to add I could throw in there for diet etc?! May as well at this stage

Newbie1982:  there’s some evidence that rasp leaf tea can increase your risk of miscarriage if drunk in the first trimester. You may want to ask your doctor.

Newbie1982:  pretty sure you’re not supposed to drink raspberry leaf tea until the third trimester.
