So I had thought I found my dress back in October (bought and picked up dress) And last week I was watching Say Yes to The Dress and it had me wanting to look at more dresses. Go figure, right? LOL I had only tried on about 5 dresses and should have waited, take advantage of the one time I will be getting married! So I was browsing David’s Bridal and found another dress that I was loving more then the one I bought. So my mom and best friend went with me to David’s Bridal yesterday to try it on and since my mom bought the first dress she had said that if I love this other one, we had to sell mine first, before we buy this other dress. Well I tried on this new dress and we ALL fell in love with it!!! It shows off my figure much better and just everything about it I LOVE!!! My best friend had said the 1st dress wore me, and I totally wear this new dress! So I was at a dillema…how am I going to sell my other dress quickly and buy this new one in time…5 months befor the wedding!!! Ahhh! Well yesterday sure was my lucky day because the sales lady said they can exchange a dress within 30 days after purchase, but mine was a little over but she allowed it!!!! So tonight I am bringing them my old dress and getting the one I completely fell in love with!!! And to top it off, it is only $1 more then my other dress!! Hahaha! What do you girls think?? ๐
Now here’s where I need your girls’ help! I am not sure if I like the sash so much on it but my mother does. My friend and I like it without the sash because I think when I add my jewlry and hair piece it will be too much “bling” What do you girls think???

Option with sash???

And here is the picture of the first dress…sorry it’s a little blurry

The new dress is sooooo much prettier! I’m glad it worked out and you got to get the dress of your dreams that you really love. I’d say no sash. There’s a lot going on, and without the sash, the attention goes to your face. With the sash, I feel like the eye is drawn more towards the dress and not YOU in the dress.
My advice is to go for big statement earrings and a sparkly hairpiece instead of the sash. Congrats by the way!

If you are going the sash route I think a bolder color would look best BUT I think you look great without a sash too and I also agree with statement necklace and earrings.
Love this choice so much better ! Shows off your curves and the dress looks fun too.

I say no sash. With a detailed dress like that I think a sash is just too much! It takes away from the gorgeous skirt and bodice IMO!

Ooh, wow, you’re totally stunning in your new dress!! And I agree with your Maid/Matron of Honor: the old one was pretty, but this one is totally you! I voted to add the sash – I was going to say it’s nice without but then I saw your blingy picture and loved that one more. Lol typical me. ๐ It’s sweet with the very thin sash band and gives good accent to your waist.
N.B. And you also have beautiful hair, so you’re going to be a total stunner! Yay for DB switching your dress as well!!

Your friend is on point, you definitely wear the new dress as opposed to it wearing you. I say no sash, I think it distracts from the dress and your other bling will be enough.

Great choice on the second dress. I completely agree that you’re wearing this one and it’s not wearing you. I think the dress is extravagent on it’s own. . . no sash!

Love the new dress, that’s awesome that they let you exchange it! I say no sash.

Your new dress is so much better! I say either no sash, or a wider sash. The one you’re wearing looks too narrow for the dress.

Thank you SO much ladies for your advice and your kind words ๐ It really means a lot to me! It’s really going to make my decision tough! lol But I keep looking at the pictures and my eye goes right to the sash instead of my face, so it’s making me lean more towards no sash and adding in the big statement neclace, earings and hair piece ๐ And I so feel like a princess in this dress ๐
