I would wear a jacket, dress pants and blouse. The jacket and pants don’t have to be a suit.

Where the suit. It may be one of the reasons you got called back. You want the people in the second interview to get the same impression as the people from the first.  You could wear a fun shirt underneath though. You don’t have to wear white.

@KatNYC2011:  That would be perfect.

@mwitter80:  I agree.  I would still wear a suit but put a colored sihrt with it instead of white.

@KatNYC2011:  I think your tweed jacket outfit sounds perfect

Yeah, I’d suggest the suit and a colorful shirt. I noticed on my first interview that I was way overdressed, but I didn’t feel like I had the right to adapt to their “dress code” until I was actually an employee.

Plus, you never know who you will meet at the second interview that you didn’t meet at the first. For example, on my third interview, I met the CEO. You can bet I was glad that I hadn’t gone any less formal in my attire.

You just have the more casual dress code to look forward to if the job works out. Good luck hun!

@KatNYC2011:  Congrats on the interview! 🙂

I’d err on the conservative side and go with the suit and a colored shirt-especially since it’s in the corporate world.

@KatNYC2011:  The financial industry is very conservative with attire. Some companies still require women to wear panty hose and open toe shoes are a BIG no no and all the men have to wear white or blue shirts. It depends on the company. For all you know today is United Way jean day, its better to be safe than sorry. Also, you should dress for the job you want NOT the job you are interviewing for. Good luck!

@KatNYC2011:  WEAR A SUIT!  Sorry I am yelling.  I am SO glad you wore one today, and wear one tomorrow!  ALWAYS wear a suit if you have one, if you have two, even better.  The second interview is likely someone higher up, so it is a step up, and the dress should follow.

Congrats, I know you have been looking 🙂
