SO is planning to propose sometime this summer/fall, and we have already discussed not having a wedding and just going to the JOP or Eloping. As a 2nd time bride, I’m not sure what I can wear that is dressy, but, not a wedding dress to go to a JOP ceremony or to Elope in. I’m also plus size and if it’s a dress, am looking for something with short sleeves or something that would look ok with a dressy sweater to cover my arms (of course, short sleeved would be better).
Any suggestions??? I’m lost on what to even wear. I don’t own any dresses right now, all my old dresses are too small for me. I’m currently a 22/24. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the perfect excuse to buy a new dress! What about a tea length dress? There are so many cute ones out there. Check out David’s Bridal since I know they’ll have great stuff in your size. The style’s bridal without being too formal for a JOP wedding. Something like this?

Check out ModCloth – they have stacks of gorgeous dresses in plus size. Here are a few ideas:

There are loads more options there 🙂

Wonderful ideas ladies! Thank you! I love the Ivory ones from modcloth!
Would it be ok to wear something like this for a second wedding at JOP? I’m not too sure…http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/bride-and-bloom-dress?SSAID=314743&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=sas&utm_campaign=314743&utm_content=417942&gate=false
but at these prices, I could get a few and return the ones that don’t work!

OMG GET THAT BRIDE AND BLOOM DRESS OR I WILL DO IT FOR YOU. lol. I loooove that dress! I am in a similar situation (“waiting,” second wedding, deciding whether or not to elope/JoP) and I definitely just bookmarked that cute dress. It is begging me to buy it and some blue pumps. 😀
