Thanks for your feedback! Glad the transition has gone so well for your family!! Congrats on surviving the first month! I think that’s the part I’m dreading 🙂 Wondering how similar this one will be to Warren. He was SOOOO easy – and I’m nervous about anything else 🙂
I finally bit the bullet on ‘big boy’ transitions last weekend. We took away Warren’s paci at night (and naps at home). He’s adjusted really well. I think the first and third night we had some crying.. but even last night with a sitter he went down without it and no crying. Now not having it at daycare for naps is a different story – but they are working on it. I may be cheating by giving him a ‘teething’ toy as a replacement – but with teething and stuff he seems to be wanting something in his mouth lately – and that’s fine with me. All day long he has his hands or some toy in his mouth.
I think this weekend we’ll try naps in his big boy bed. I finally got the ‘rails’ in this week. Just needs to baby proof the room a tiny bit more tomorrow morning.
He’s doing great with potty training for #2 – just not #1. I probably need to spend more time on this. I did get a fold up potty we can have when we are out in public for the ‘big potties’. I feel so bad when he tells us he has to go – but then refuses to sit on the big potties. He’s even asking to use the potty at daycare!
