I think with the right venue and overlapping decor it can be pulled off tastefully. Especially if you’re going for a rustic look i think it will tie in nicely

tbreannx3:  You have so much time before your wedding. Take advanatge of that time by using coupons and shopping the sales to buy white flowers to use with your sunflowers.

While you may have thought the sunflowers you have seen where you live look the most realistic, I assure you there are lots of other very realistic silk flowers available. If you combine just a few sunflowers with a majority of white flowers , you will avoid the look you fear.

tbreannx3:  I love the idea of having sunflowers without making it the focus or sole flower…these are some really quick pics that I adore (thanks, Google!)

Some other flowers are are easy to fake… orchids and calla lillies especially. But there are also good fake roses and peonies, etc. Look for “real touch” options. Afloral has a bunch. Maybe take a look at their deisgn ideas page for real weddings using their flowers for inspiration. http://www.afloral.com/Wedding-Design-Ideas Most of the photos even have the exact products used linked so they’re easy to find.
