One thing that stresses me out about my wedding the most is the flowers. Simply because I hardly doubt I will have the budget for real flowers and honestly am fine with using fake flowers (this is not a debate about whether you like fake flowers or think they are trashy). That being said I am pick about my fake flowers and they way they look. I have always wanted my bridesmaids to wear a pastel color to the wedding until I saw yesterday that the realest looking fake flower is a sunflower and I personally don’t like sunflowers with pastel blue. I got to hunting on pinterest and weddingbee and saw that a popular color choice for sunflower is coral which I wouldn’t mind having at all as my wedding color. The thing is I don’t want my wedding to become sunflower themed. Like a few in my bouquet and on the tables. So is it possible to use sunflowers for the floral decoration but still maintain the rustic burlap theme so it doesn’t look like my wedding vomited sunflowers?

I think with the right venue and overlapping decor it can be pulled off tastefully. Especially if you’re going for a rustic look i think it will tie in nicely

You have so much time before your wedding. Take advanatge of that time by using coupons and shopping the sales to buy white flowers to use with your sunflowers.
While you may have thought the sunflowers you have seen where you live look the most realistic, I assure you there are lots of other very realistic silk flowers available. If you combine just a few sunflowers with a majority of white flowers , you will avoid the look you fear.

I love the idea of having sunflowers without making it the focus or sole flower…these are some really quick pics that I adore (thanks, Google!)

Some other flowers are are easy to fake… orchids and calla lillies especially. But there are also good fake roses and peonies, etc. Look for “real touch” options. Afloral has a bunch. Maybe take a look at their deisgn ideas page for real weddings using their flowers for inspiration. http://www.afloral.com/Wedding-Design-Ideas Most of the photos even have the exact products used linked so they’re easy to find.

Costco has a pre-assembled sunflower wedding collection for $230 with live flowers. This might be worth checking out.
I used the Costco rose wedding collection in my own wedding, along with the European Bouquets as centerpiece. I was thrilled by both the look and the pricing!

The second picture is exactly the picture that made me love the idea! And that coral dress is the color I want to go with. So basically I wanted to like use those ideas but I just want to make sure its not to much sunflower. Like will I still be able to do something burlap and it fit in? I think I am being weird lol
Okay thank you for your input!!
I do have lots of time most planning will be during summer and winter months as I will be less busy with school. Where do you suggest looking for flowers? I have looked at hobby lobby and michaels so far. The hobby lobby I went to yesterday didn’t even have the filler stuff. I didn’t see baby breath anywhere. I thought about going to get it priced for real flowers just to compare as sometimes people say its the same price.
