My soon to be fiance and I went ring shopping together after the overwhelming amount of choices was too much for him; I had a “look” in mind that I could not somehow verbalize. Anyway, we found this absolutely beautiful setting/center stone and ordered it. We were told it would take about 3 weeks to make and now I’m having second thoughts.! (I remember loving it at the store and I know he wasn’t crazy about it, idk maybe that is what is giving me some of my second thoughts.) A concern of mine is how it will look on my hand and if it is tacky. My ring is micropave setting with high placed basket for the diamond with a cushion stone. So what am I asking all you bees is to please post pics of your micro pave settings and please restore my confidence back to my ring!!!

The ring in your description sounds very pretty. But if you think it might not be what you’re looking for afterall, the sooner you cancel the order the better. Is there anyway you can go back and try on just the setting and lay a similar center stone on top?
Don’t worry too much about changing your mind. My fiance and I were in a shop choosing a gold bracelet for my 19th and I was having trouble choosing between two. We bought one and half an hour later I was really regretting my choice and wishing I’d chosen the other. No biggy, went back into the shop and swapped them over. You should have seen the look on my fiance’s face when I told him I wanted to swap them though. Priceless!
It’s even more important to get a ring you love if you’re going to wear it everyday for years to come, so don’t hold back. To be honest though, I think you probably are going to love your ring once you have it on your finger.
Here’s my micropave.

Just from your description it sounds a little like mine. I love how high the halo/basket on my ring sits and it means the weddin band sits flush.
I know how you feel too because mine took 5 weeks to make and in that time I also had so many second thoughts! But when I saw the ring I loved it all over again! If you loved it when you picked it out I’m sure you’ll love it.
