I walked alone the second time and I regret it.  It’s far better to share that moment with someone special to you.

I know you aren’t doing this – my then-FI and I walked in together, hand in hand. My second choice, had he preferred to watch me walk down the aisle, was to walk by myself. I was walked down the aisle by my dad the first time, and honestly I did it more for him than for me. I would have preferred to walk myself then, too!

As for the mothers and grandmothers, your Future Mother-In-Law might be looking forward to being escorted in, so I would have your Fiance talk to her about it after the two of you discuss your options.

My father didn’t come to my first, and seems he won’t be coming to my second, his choice. My then 9 year old walked me last time.

I may ask my future bil to walk me this time. His only daughter passed away right after grad, so he’s never had the oppportunity. He is 70, older than my father, and the sweetest. I’d be honored for him to do it. My fh has not been married before so his waiting for me is extra special.

I haven’t asked my fbil yet. He’s very sentimental so I want to speak with his wife first.

We have no bridal party so can’t help you with the escorting. I do think any way you choose to walk in is fine.

I was 22 the first time, 33 this time. I walked by myself both times. It was perfect both times!
