before getting pregnant i was about 118. i will be 16 weeks tomorrow and havent gained any weight. i weighed myself today 116.4 not much of a loss but i am just scared that i am not gaining weight. i have a doctors appointment tomorrow so i will see if everything is okay just scared. how much weight were you up around 16 weeks ? do you think i should be worried (be honest)

i wouoldn’t be scared at 16 weeks. you are early in the second trimester. i lost a few pounds in my first trimester and then started gaining. i would only check that you are eating enough and getting all your nutrients. i also wouldn’t worry at least until you talk to your doctor.

Do not be worried one bit! A lot of ladies will post and discuss how much they lost (typically in first tri!) and are only starting to “gain” later in pregnancy. So long as you are eating well (or as well as you can) you should be on the right track.
I have gained 15lbs (24w) and have another appt (and weigh in!!) tomorrow

I’m almost 30 weeks and have gained about 12 lbs so far. My doctor says I’m right on track. I’m 5’4 and was 135 lbs to start, so definitely not overweight to begin with (how much weight you should gain depends on how much you weighed to start)
I don’t think I had gained more than 3 lbs until I was almost 20 weeks.
Your doctor will let you know if there is cause for concern. 🙂 I would try not to worry though- if you’re eating healthy and are getting enough to eat, then you’re probably doing ok.

I was about 75 kg’s (165 lb’s) when I got pregnant and I don’t think I put on any weight until at least sixteen weeks. I was lucky enough to not have any morning sickness so I’m really not sure where all the crap I ate in the first tri went!
I’m now 25 weeks and have just hit 80kg’s (176lb’s) and my midwife is really happy with my weight gain. Interestingly enough I didn’t start to bump up till about 20 weeks and my biggest weight gain came around the same time I popped out.
I wouldn’t worry if you have gained a lot of weight yet, Baby is still pretty small and I think that I read somewhere that the weight gained in the first tri is the hardest weight to get rid of once you’ve had baby.

I started at about 102lbs at 5’3 and have gained about 30lbs so far in this pregnancy. I’m about 34 weeks now at 132 lbs and this is the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life. I feel like a whale. It’s normal to not gain much in your first tri, and I’m actually jealous of those who got a late start on the beefing up 🙁
