I’ll try to make this short.
We purchased our rings from Beldens this past summer, and didnt start wearing them until our wedding at the end of October. Three weeks in and a diamond fell out of the band. I went to Beldens and all they could do was send it out to be repaired, which could take up to 6 weeks. We went around and around and through the customer service number a new ring was sent to me. It needed to be sized and engraved so I got in just under a month ago. Well, this weekend another diamond fell out of the new ring.
I am SOO mad, sad, angry, etc. I again called yesterday and spent an hour on the phone explaining that something must be wrong with the design of the ring. I think they got tired of me fighting with them so they authorized a refund at their store so I could pick out a new ring.
I am thankful that I can pick out a new ring, but sad that this has even happened. Its not the ring we got married with, its not the one that is in our wedding pictures, and this whole thing just sucks.
End rant.

@Bostongrl25: I would consider getting the refund and not even doing business with them at all…

@Lisandrag16: I wish I didnt. I dont ever plan on doing business with them ever again. But the only refund I could get was a store credit.

@Bostongrl25: aw man 🙁 sorry about that. Hopefully it won’t happen again with the new ring you purchase.

What is the design of the ring? If it had diamonds in the shank, it’s very odd that it would need to be SIZED rather than MADE TO YOUR SIZE, and that could definitely explain the diamonds falling out. What style of ring is it?

I’d actually still fight that when u went in for the new ring and request a refund. If not you will have no other choice than to report it to every consumer group you know, the better business bureau, and as your duty as a “blog member” you will also have the right to blog about it. I’d say all that and see if maybe they decide that the bad PR would be worse than just refunding your ring. Id actually tell them that you are not happy at all and would it be worth it to get your $xxxx dollars back, or would it be more worth it for them to lose possibly thousands of customers over this incident. Hey I’d say anything I could to just get my refund. They sound like losers. If you can’t I’d get it in writing that this ring WILL be secure and if not THEN you get a refund on the new one. See if you can pick a more expensive one lol! I’d be working that angle to get all kinds of upgrades. But I do hope that you get a good ring in the end. A solid and secure one.

Have you considered having the original ring slightly modified to put 1 or 2 delicate wires over the stone(s)? Similar example here:

My mother had a topaz ring with something like that, it looked very pretty and classy with the tiny wires crossed over the top. 🙂
