I made a trial pomander last week using a 4″ ball. It just seems TOO big. Bigger than I wanted at least, but when I look at the 3″ balls – they look so tiny!
I didn’t glue the flowers in place, should I try again with a 3″ ball?
Sorry – no pics to share at present.

I used 4 inch for mine. I’ve seen poms in 3″ and 5″ – I think it’s your preference since the flowers make them look fuller. I don’t think going down an inch will be any issue.

I’ve tried them with both 3″ and 4″. I thought the 4″ were too big also and actually the 3″ look bigger once they’re finished.

I used a 3” ball. The 4” were huge! And I made all mine with tissue paper flowers. They are 4”x10” strips that were used for the flowers. Here is one that I did for a test run.

I think it depends on the scale of what you’re using them for. Are you going to have a HUGE church? If so the larger ones may look really good, however if you will have a smaller ceremony site, then the smaller ball is the way to go… hth

I used a 3 inch ball and with the roses I used they still turned out huge.
