(Closed) 3-piece china place setting?

Hello Bees,

Fiance and I are registering for china and I saw that BBB sells our pattern in a 3-piece set (dinner plate, salad plate and all-purpose bowl). This is about $100/place setting cheaper than the 5 piece setting at Macy’s. I’m trying to decide which to register for. I’m leaning towards the 3-piece set as I think we would get much more utlity out of the bowls than we would the cup and saucer. 

Or should I register for the 5-piece setting and then register for the bowls separately? 

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

SweetCaroline89:  If you don’t use a cup and saucer on a regular basis now, you are not likely to change your habits in the future. If that is the case, I would choose the 3 piece set.

I don’t think that I have ever used the matching cups and saucers to my sets. I would much rather the bowl

The guy at Macy’s told us people like to buy the 5 piece sets, but we didn’t need the cup and saucer so we just registered for each plate individually. I like the 3 pieces setting though! If you don’t need the cup and saucer, don’t register for it!
