But it’s ok! SO got the whole day off work which we weren’t expecting, because of rain in the morning! We decided to go to the science museum and to an OmniTheater movie on tornados (which I have a crazy fascination with haha). Then we walked around a park with sweet indian mounds and scenic city overlooks! We finished off our day with a great fondue four course meal, it was sooo good…and expensive, but we never splurge on that kind of thing!
I kind of realized last night as we were deciding on plans for our anniversary, that there was too much in the air for him to plan anything in advanced so there was no surprise like I speculated. He also was acting completely like himself haha nothing out of the ordinary!
The good thing about it not being today, is I have NO IDEA when he will propose! The ring is in the house, my family keeps bringing up engagement stuff and all but there are no plans, or trips, or anything to clue me in! BUT that’s a good thing too I know it’s coming, I’ll just keep my mouth shut and focus on starting my new job on Monday!
Thanks for listening bees! I am still waiting…but I’m trying to keep it together, just like so many of you! Positivity can really change your outlook on these types of things…PERSPECTIVE

I’m sorry it didn’t happen today, but way to keep a positive attitude! That’s setting a real example! 🙂
I hope it happens for you soon!

First off I love that your name is Laurel because mine is too and I barely ever meet other Laurels.
Thats not what I came here to say though. I opened your post expecting a sad story about how depressing it was to not get to proposed to today on your anniversary BUT instead you turned the tables! You told us a great story about your exciting day (which by the way I’m totally jealous of the fondu situation) and I loved it!
So many of us (including myself) get so wrapped up in waiting for the proposal and the ring that we forget about the things that really matter like spending the day together and having fun. So thank you for keeping a positive attitude and setting a good example for the rest of us!
Good luck! I look forward to hearing about it when it happens 🙂

I feel like a lot of time the waiting boards are filled with sadness and anger, although I completely know where people are coming from I DEFINITELY have my moments too! But I wanted to show the positive side of waiting and that we all don’t have to be so depressed all the time…just keeping the attitude in check is important!
