because of a recent inspiring post on here, I’ve been doing the 30 Day Shred. I wanted to try something different from my normal workout routine. Granted I’ve only been doing it for half a week, but I feel GREAT! Like Jillian says in the workout, “you feel like you’re gonna die”. However, afterwards it feels like such an accomplishment! Even if I have half of the success some of these other bees have on the Shred, I’ll be ecstatic ! Just wanted to share my excitement! 🙂

I just bought weights and the DVD today! Going to start it tomorrow when I get home from work. Really excited!

how many times a week are you doing the shred? i have the dvd and would really like to get it started again. Do you do it 7 days a week? Thanks!

Is it more muscle focused or cardio?

More muscle.. however, she splits it up into 3 different segments (in level 1), cardio, strength and abs.. the cardio is jumping jacks, jump rope, butt kicks and punches.

Congrats! I have the 30DS DVD and I’ve done the first workout a lot, but I’ve never stuck with it. Right now I’m doing Couch to 5k to train for a 5k in May – I’m making that my primary focus, but I think I’m gonna mix 30DS in once I’ve gotten more comfortable with the running. It’s such a great full-body workout!

I’m doing the shred too! Although not every day. I am actually about to start today’s work out in a few mintues! (Just had to check weddingbee first of course haha)
