As I just wrote on another thread, I just completed the 30 Day Shred.
I am happy and feel like I achieved something. I toned up but didn’t lose weight. Probably because I ate too much – breastfeeding and working out leaves me starved and since I’m home, food is always available to me…
I’ll try to see if I can post my results later.
Anyway, I really liked this workout because:
1) it’s only 30 minutes so it’s easy to fit in my busy day with two kids under 2 years old
2) it’s only 30 days so it feels doable, and it is!
3) the workout is not too challenging that you want to die, but still challenging enough that you feel it the next morning – the perfect balance for this mama who is starting to get back into a fitness routine after doing nothing after having a c-section
4) I also liked the gradual increase in intensity and the diversity of moves. Kept me interested, which is hard to do, I easily get bored with workouts that aren’t outdoors.
I wanted to start another program, but it lasts 8 weeks and with Christmas coming right in the middle, I thought I was setting myself up for failure if I started this at this moment. I also have a spinning bike and would LOVE to start spinning again… But with the kids, it’s harder to fit in than a workout DVD because their little hands are everywhere and I am worried they could get injured. I can’t wait until their naps or until DH is back from work to workout, it just doesn’t work for us and I’d end up skipping workouts often.
All of this to say that I came to the conclusion that another Jillian Michaels DVD is my best option at the moment, and I will begin Ripped in 30 next Sunday.
Anyone already did this workout? What can you tell me about it?
