I think what you need to look for is event liability insurance. Do you have renter’s insurance? If so you could probably tack in on there for a day (and if not, you should get it!).

ETA: The liability one. Show it to your vendor and ask if it covers what they want it to cover.

Go to a local insurance broker and  tell them what you need. They get bids from various companies for the insurance you require.

@jenilynevette:  We had to do this too but for $1million. It cost uss $25. Call your car insurance or renters insurance, they can help! 🙂
