So yesterday I completed my fourth day of the shred. I have been eating healthy all week. i decided to hide the scale and not weigh myself til the end of 30 days-I also took before measurements.
Anyway I carved in this morning and weighed myself and gained weight! I am so angry. Did anyone else experience this? I already weigh so much so I really can’t stand to gain more

The 30 day shred is known to build muscle (and burn fat) and so you are more likely to tone and lose inches and not weight.
In 30 days i lost 8lb and about 6 inches. But before that i was eating like a total pig and when i started 30 day shred i sorted that out too.
Keep at it, watch your food, and just wait 🙂

You should definitely that measurements in addition to weight. I weigh more than I did in high school but wear clothes two sizes smaller. I am also doing 30ds in addition to couch to 5k (I normally work out that much anyway) and am enjoying it when I am not sick (darn sinuses!). Keep it up!

4 days really isn’t that long of a time frame, plus your weight can fluctuate a few pounds naturally just depending on things like how much sodium you’ve eaten lately, the last time you poo’d, etc. I wouldn’t worry about it. You’ll be building muscle too and that won’t show on the scale.

Weight fluctuates something like 5lbs throughout the day. You’ve only been doing this for 4 days!

I just finished the 30DS yesterday! yay! So worth it. I also didn’t loose weight, maybe like 3 lbs at the end, and I eat healthy. But I definately lost inches and toned up, which was my goal anyways. Keep it up, you just started, it takes a few weeks before you will notice the results. I think I was onto level 3 when I really began noticing that my clothes fit looser.

It might be muscle or normal weight fluctuations. The idea is to build muscle now so you can burn fat later (boost your metabolism, so to speak).

Today was my first day of the shred. I read a lot of reviews before i started and most say they gained the first week or to and then the loss started. I hope it works well for you and myself! Let us know how it goes!

I’m on day 12 (took a couple days off but went to the gym / went for a run on those days) and I swear I am noticing a difference. When I let my belly out now it doesn’t stick out as far and I saw my butt in the mirror last night and it looked perkier 😉 Also my arms are rock solid when I flex (I did have muscle tone there originally but it has definately improved in this short space of time).
I’m on Level 2 and it’s really not fun, but hopefully it will be worth it.
I also refuse to weigh or measure myself. I will not even weigh myself after 30 days, I hate the scales and find the number hardly moves.
